The Kindle has an 11-inch Colorsoft display. Amazon specifies 300 ppi for black-and-white content and 150 ppi for colour. The Paper Pro uses an 11.8-inch Gallery 3 Canvas Color display at 229 ppi.

Those numbers do not identify an overall display winner. Black-and-white and colour resolution can be reported differently, and the two display systems use different colour approaches. We have not measured contrast, reflectivity, uniformity, refresh behaviour, ghosting, or colour accuracy.

The physical difference is easier to judge. Kindle Scribe Colorsoft weighs 400 g; Paper Pro is approximately 525 g. Paper Pro is slightly thinner at 5.1 mm versus Kindle's 5.4 mm, but the Kindle is meaningfully lighter.

Choose the larger reMarkable canvas when full-page documents and desk use dominate. Choose Kindle when the device will be held for reading as often as it rests on a table. Add the weight of a folio before deciding either is a light travel setup.

Battery claims are not directly comparable

Amazon claims up to eight weeks of reading or two weeks of writing for Scribe Colorsoft. reMarkable claims up to 14 days of regular use and up to 90 days in standby.

Those figures use different workloads and test methods. Front-light level, wireless sync, page refreshes, pen use, document size, and battery age all change runtime. The safe conclusion is that both are designed to last much longer than a normal LCD tablet between charges, not that one has a proven endurance advantage.

Both charge over USB-C. Neither should be purchased because a manufacturer turned a mixed-use estimate into the larger headline number.
